We got our 2007 Christmas tree up and decorated this weekend. Each year this event gets more fun because the kids are old enough now to reminisce. “Oh, do you remember this one?!” “I love this one!” Those are the comments that fill the room as the kids rush to and fro to put on their favorite ornaments.
Tomorrow we are taking Kara back to The Children’s Hospital in Denver to have her first post-op check on her arm and skin grafts. If all is going well, she should get the bandaging off of her arm and stomach, but she will probably still come home with another cast for a few more weeks while the skin grafts on her toes continue to heal. I am looking forward to seeing how each of the surgical areas is doing. I hope that we won’t run into any weather-related travel problems. It has been snowy and icy this weekend, and I think it’s supposed to continue tomorrow afternoon. We are planning to go to Denver and back as quickly as possible to try to avoid weather problems.
