Many people today are walking around lacking purpose and hope. I know–I walked that road for many years. When I was 26 years old, I found the Answer that has given me eternal hope and has literally changed my life. That Hope is Jesus Christ and His Word, the Bible.
Do you wonder what the Bible is all about? Maybe you have lived a good life, and even have been quite religious, and still you wonder what the Bible has to do with you. There is a great internet resource at http://www.thehopeproject.com/ that has a video overview of the message of the Bible and how that message can impact your life today.
Created in co-operation with motion picture producers and distributors around the world, The HOPE is an 80 minute dramatic presentation of God’s epic story of redemption as revealed in the Bible. There are free online study guides to further explore the film’s message. The HOPE can be viewed in its entirety on the site, or chapter-by-chapter.
Please take the time to view this film and consider the Truth of the Gospel.

It sounds like we have a lot in common. We are an adoptive homeschool family as well. We have 4 bio girls, an adopted son, a daughter in the process of being adopted, and we are legal guardians to my 2 year old cousin (a boy). We are hoping to incorporate AHG Trailblazers into our homeschool program. I applied about a week ago. I am waiting to hear back. Do you remember how long it took for them to contact you? I am chomping at the bit here! lol!
Have a blessed day!

Hi Tracy!
Thanks for reading my blog and for leaving a comment about how our families seem to have a lot in common! You’re right—there are a lot of similarities!
I really don’t remember how long it took for us to hear back from AHG after we applied for the Trailblazer program. I can tell you, though, that the Trailblazer program is fantastic! In fact, after participating this year, I saw that they were in need of a new Trailblazer Coordinator. I applied and was accepted. I am currently in the training phase of the position, but hopefully I’ll be able to get started helping other Trailblazing familes soon. I’m hoping to be able to be a support resource, and I’d like to come up with ways for the Trailblazer families to function more as an online “Troop” for those who are interested. This might develop through a discussion group, a blog, or something similar, but I think it would be fun and helpful for families to be able to share what they are doing with each other.
So, hopefully you’ll be hearing from AHG soon—and hopefully you’ll be hearing from me soon too about getting started in the program! In the meantime, if I can be of any help or encouragement along the way, don’t hesitate to contact me!
